Roland Smith's Biography Directing includes Pedal Pusher, Elle and the Cabaret of the Cavendish Club, Fanshen (Theatre Delicatessen), Right Up My Street (Young Vic TPR), Peer Gynt and A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Brent Arts Council), Asylum Monologues (iceandfire), Ramblin’ Man and Tough Luck (First Draft Theatre), Les Liaisons Dangereuses and Misanthrope (TACIT Theatre), Eskimo Sisters (Camden Peoples Theatre), Torn (SJT Productions), Elvis Orders A Mai Tai and Skin Deep (Horla Theatre), and Absence of War (NSDF and Venue 45) for which Roland was awarded the RSC Buzz Goodbody Award. Writing includes Finis Terre (Hybrid Theatre), Desert/Island/Man (ROAR), To Close and Kill (ROAR at the Latchmere) and The NOLA Project, a verbatim piece created with BeesKnees Productions based on their work with young people in New Orleans who survived Hurricane Katrina.
